Dog Adoption
  • I will source a suitable dog for you from my list of dogs in foster care needing homes.

  • On finding the type of dog you're interested in, I will learn of their temperament and history from the current owner/foster carer, and discuss my findings with you so that you can decide if this dog will suit your particular circumstances.

  • A photograph of the dog will be provided where possible.

  • A Home Visit will apply.

  • Armed with the information supplied to me in the detailed Dog CV form that the (ex)owner completes, your decision will be an informed one, which increases the chances that it will be the right one.

  • Should you pass the Home Visit and wish to proceed with adoption of a dog in foster care with his/her owner, I will transport him/her from the current home to a suitable meeting place at a halfway point for us both.

  • The dog that you adopt will be neutered, as Homeward Bound does not assist in homing unneutered dogs.

  • I will be on hand for the duration of the dog's life with advice and support.

  • Should you need at any stage to part with the dog, I will source another home, or take him under the care of Homeward Bound.

  • *NB - If the dog you are interested in adopting is in foster care and under the ownership of Homeward Bound, an adoption donation of 120 is required. This donation is not 'payment' for the specific dog you're adopting, but rather a donation to enable us to help and maintain provisions for all the dogs in our care. This, and any other donation, is vital to the work of Homeward Bound. Without donations, the unneutered, or stray, or sick/injured dogs could not be treated and placed in forever homes.

  • If the dog you are interested in adopting is under the care of his owner, Homeward Bound requires that at minimum, petrol costs will be covered in transporting the dog from his old home to his new one. Any other donation at your discretion will be gratefully received and put to good use.

Dog Relocation
  • If you're thinking of rehoming your dog, consider the advantages to using Homeward Bound

  • I will source a suitable home for your dog from my list of homes waiting on a dog, and advertise him if necessary.

  • On finding an interested/potential adopter, I will assess their circumstances to ensure that they and your dog are a good match for each other.

  • Armed with the information supplied to me in the detailed Profile form that the applicant completes, compatibility with your dog can be determined, which increases the chances that it will be the right home.

  • A Home Visit will be carried out on prospective adopters to confirm that their garden is enclosed and secure and to ensure they can provide a safe environment for your dog.

  • Provided they're approved for adoption, and upon their decision to adopt your dog, I will assist in the transport of the dog from you to his new home.

  • I will be on hand to offer support and advice on training & feeding etc. to your dog's new family.

  • I stipulate in my Adoption Agreement form that the dog must come to Homeward Bound should they decide they need to part with him at any stage in the future. In this instance, the dog will remain in my care until a suitable home is decided upon.

  • *NB - Homeward Bound does not rehome unneutered dogs. If the dog you are rehoming is not neutered, please have this done before you contact me to assist in rehoming. Alternatively, I may be able to take your dog into foster care in preparation for rehoming. In this instance, a donation is required to go towards the veterinary costs of neutering your dog. This, and any other donation, is vital to the work of Homeward Bound. Without donations, the unneutered, or stray, or sick/injured dogs could not be treated and placed in forever homes.

Any other donation at your discretion will be gratefully received and put to good use.
